Video games are becoming increasingly complex, detailed, and compelling to a growing international audience of players. Today is games are much more interesting, and the technology has advanced to the point where a player can become immersed in a multimedia-enabled 'virtual reality' or 'alternate world'. With better graphics, more realistic characters, and greater strategic challenges, it is not surprising that some teens would rather play the latest video game than play some outdoor games. Some games, especially online role-playing games, can become a substitute for 'real life', and players can become immersed in the experience of living in an imaginary world. Some competitors report that they play games to forget family or personal issues. Equally, people use drugs or alcohol to stop thinking about their problems. Although gaming addiction is not yet officially recognized as a diagnosable disorder by the American Medical Association, there is increasing evidence that people of all ages, especially teens and pre-teens, are facing very real, sometimes severe consequences associated with compulsive use of video and computer games, the gaming design want that you spend a lot of time in the computer.

Not "addictive" in the clinical sense of the word, but game designers are always looking for ways to make their games more interesting and increase the number of time people will spend playing them. There are Web sites gave to gaming design where gamers try to answer the question, "What makes a video game addictive?" They want you once you log in or pick up that controller, to never want to stop playing.
Thus, games are designed to be just difficult enough to be truly challenging, while allowing players to achieve small accomplishments that compel them to keep playing. In that respect, the design of video games is similar to the design of gambling casinos, which will allow players to have small "wins" that keep them playing. There are several "hooks" that are built into games with the intent of making them "addictive".
One of those hooks is that gamer always wants to have the high score moreover people want to beat the other people’s score or his or her own score, that is why they spend a lot of time trying it, but the design game became more difficult and you cannot pass the level.
Secondly, people want to beat all the levels that the game has, nonetheless, each level became more and more problematic to pass, but people want to demonstrate the most of them that is why they follow trying to pass the level.
Consequently, people want to get all the character that the game has, but it is some hard because it needs time thus, there is an emotional attachment to the character, and the story makes it much harder to stop playing.
The exploration or discovery tactic is most often used in role-playing games. One of the most popular online games currently is World of Warcraft, and a good portion of the game is spent exploring imaginary worlds. This thrill of discovery (even of places that don't really exist) can be extremely compelling.

Additionally, the social environment too, affect that teens get addictive game playing because of, according to many studies elaborated by psychologist “the most part of people acquire their behavior of people around them”, currently our big metropolis accumulate a lot of people, as far as people have neighbors in their own house or department building so, “why often people are unsociable or do not have friends?”, people usually keep in their house, for the reason that outside there are many problems like discrimination, bullying, etc. thereby people want to keep inside their home to avoid all those problems which can affect their growth.
To the previously said, another physiology part is that agreeing with the Hammersmith Hospital in London (2005) our body eject dopamine, it substance is a mood-regulating hormone associated with feelings of pleasure. Besides when people play the level of dopamine increase and have some benefits for our body because it distresses us and helps keep our feelings relax and happy.
To sum up, game addiction, not is a personal problem only, also is a the society problem farther, is normal that a person feel attract by a video game for the fact that it is the aim since game designer thought in to create the game furthermore they have the objective to entertain people, nevertheless, they usually are criticized by people by the adjectives as lazier, because they spend a lot of time in front of the computer, instead of, help them to advise about some consequences that it can get.
